Conducts inspections of restaurants, pools and other facilities to ensure proper sanitation

Investigates public health nuisance complaints such as trash or rodents

Issues birth, death and marriage licenses

Provides health clinics for children

Provides health promotion programs for all ages

Operating since the 1920’s to address the growing public health needs of the Princeton community

Provides Borough and Township residents with a full spectrum of public health services

Focuses on promoting healthy lives, especially for children, older people and underserved segments of the population

Monitoring and preventing infectious diseases and environmental threats

Coordinating with private and public entities that provide, regulate, finance or otherwise affect the region’s health services

Reducing health disparities among Princeton residents

Creating and maintaining a health data collection system

Has administrative and executive function

Composed of five Borough and five Township residents

The governing body of the Princeton Health Department

Meets monthly

Meetings open to the public

Mandate of the Commission is to safeguard and improve the health of all Princeton residents through education, screening, monitoring and direct service programs
