A large snake approximately 10 feet in length and around 4 to 6 inches in thickness, greenish brown with copper coloring, has been spotted at Smoyer Park at the pond. It has been seen three times since Saturday, July 3rd and was last seen at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 6th. This snake is non-venomous. It is our intention to have the snake captured and removed from the premises. We are asking that curiosity seekers stay away.
Parents walking in and around the pond area are asked to please stay on high alert with your children and small pets, and avoid the high grass area surrounding the pond.
If anyone comes in contact with or sees the snake, please call Princeton Township Police at 609-921-2100 or Princeton Animal Control at 609-924-2728. We advise that you do not try to capture the snake yourself but contact officials immediately.
