APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  1. BETWEEN 18 AND 35 YEARS OF AGE.
  2. CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES.
  3. NEW JERSEY RESIDENT AT TIME OF EMPLOYMENT.
  4. POSSESS A VALID NEW JERSEY DRIVERS LICENSE AT TIME OF EMPLOYMENT.
  5. HAVE VISION CORRECTED TO 20/20 IN EACH EYE.
  6. HAVE NORMAL HEARING IN BOTH EARS.
  7. GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION.
  8. GOOD MORAL CHARACTER.
  9. HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE.
  10. ABLE TO SWIM.
  11. HAVE ABILITY TO DISTINGUISH COLORS.
  12. POSSESS A VALID AND CURRENT P.T.C. CERTIFICATE FROM A NEW JERSEY POLICE ACADEMY OR CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT A NEW JERSEY POLICE TRAINING COMMISSION SANCTIONED POLICE ACADEMY.
