Redevelopment Project
A major focus of our municipality has been the Borough’s “Princeton Redevelopment Project” located in the center of downtown on Witherspoon Street. The project is adjacent to the Princeton Public Library and features a municipal public plaza, a three-story building that includes residential, restaurant and retail spaces and the Borough’s Spring Street Municipal Parking Garage. Phase I of the project was completed in July of 2005.
Phase 2 is currently under construction at the intersection of S. Tulane and Spring Street. The new 5 story building consists of approximately 5500 sf of retail space on the 1st floor and 53 one and two bedroom residential rental apartments on the upper floors, which include ten moderate income apartments. Occupancy is scheduled for the Spring of 2010.
